Sleepless In SIngapore. . .

haiz, wondering how come i am typing this post in the wee hours of a saturday morning ??
well simply becasue i couldn't get to sleep thats why . .

i also duno how come, after the graduation dinner i was almost dead tired . . so how come i aint feeling sleepy now . . how strange a person can be ?? Or it could be that the dinner wasn't all too filling enuff . . and my stomach is growling now.

Hoping that after writing something here, i can get myself to sleep . . . hopefully :P

ok, yday had my convocation back in the Nanyang Auditorium Dad and Sis went with me.

it was always kinda boring to watch others going up and receiving their stuff . . but finally i was my turn after all, a bit "kan cheong" when it was my turn . . some tots flashed by then, mainly like will i walk same hand same leg ?? Will i trip ?? Is my attire ok ?? . . haha . . all those tots la, where everything might go wrong . . hahaha . . . a bit stupid hor, what could go wrong right . . LoLz. Lucky i pulled it off . . Hahaha.

After that, i was running around . . and stopping every second i see a familiar face to take some photographs for rememberance. Kinda tiring thou . . with the heavy and stuffy gown and that heavy motar board weighting down on the head, but it was all worth it . . . thou my mum kept saying i look strange in my graduation robes.

Another highlight was tonites . . or should i said last nite's graduation dinner. Dinner was held at the conrad beside Suntec. And once again, it was camera flashes all around, should have brought eye drops . . . My frens and i once again did the normal ethnics we do always . . coming up with strange strange poses and themes for the photos taken . .

i will post some pics when i get hold of the data cables to transfer the images onto my laptop.

the food wasn't too much of delicacy but it was ok, we were mainly there for the merry-making and the crazy stuff . . . as usual we had lucky draw, mr popular, miss congeniality, mr and ms best dress . . and stuff like that . . it was truly an enjoyable nite, . .
there wasn't wine supplied, and the guys had stuff on the next day so we can't go for another round of fun. :(

pics will be posted when i get hold of the cables . . . hmmm .. maybe i should get it tmr . . or later in the day . . hehe :)

It was the highlight of my life, the stuff i have gained and stuff i have losed along the way.
As I looked back on the 3 years that i have spent there, there wasn't any regrets.

GradUaTion DaY !!!!

Today marKs a special day in my calender along with alot of my frens.
Its My Uni Graduation Day !!!!

After 3 years of fun and toil, i guess my educational days are finally over ?? well, we'll see what comes along then . .

Here's the iternary of the life of a uni student.. well at least in my view

~waking up early for morning lessons,

~fighting thru the crowd to board the 179 bus in the morning,

~looking for a seat during meal time and wondering if i am going to eat jap food again

~endless cups of coffee, tea, galatine sweets to keep myself awake during lessons that i dun understand because its either too "chiem" or i can't catch what the lecturers are toking about. *Auntie, 一杯咖啡， 加盖*


~playing games with uni frens online like MU and GUNbound all thru the nite.
*heads Up, INcoming, Rain time!!!, those that played Gunbound with me will know what i am crapping about*

~fighting thru the crowd in lib to zap stuff, print stuff and buy stuff . . . it was always chaotic there, esp during the exam period.

~going to lectures all over the campus

~toking crap at benches bec we have breaks during lessons.

~mugging for quizzes and exams on benches, tutorial rooms and somewhere else .. normally SSC's (sembawang shopping centre) BK and KFC . . Hee :P

~ah tutorial rooms, fighting to get a seat in "popular" lecturer's tutorial lessons.

~qeueing up for goodies bag . . wahaha

~joining competitions, sports and misc recreational stuff . . LoLz

those were the times, but most of all, know a bunch of crazy frens who were there for one another always . . since year 2 we had been together and when will we be separated ?? I guess the only answer is "NEVER" . . hehehe

ok now so much for today, time to go get my hair cut before the ceremony..
oh ya the only piece of bad news, i didn't managed to get my new phone as originally planned bec of some technical difficulties with the supplier side . . sigh . . later i will post pics from my camera ba , , ,

Time For Some Updates . .

Hihi, time for my weekly updates . . . did some audacious things . . hehehe, come come, let me share it with you . .


let me see now, lets just start from this week . . .

weekdays in camp are as per normal, no change nothing special happening . . quite a slack week, since most of the pepz were out for exercise, luckily my daily work ain't held up or i will have a hell of a week next week :)

oh ya, last sunday my family's little "princess" came over to ask me on some sch's work and also had her bdae celebrations (part 1, she's having part 2 with her parents).

By the way for those that duno who i am refering to . . well its a little girl that my mum babysit way back then . . . now she's in secondary 1 already, oh man how time files, growing into a small little beauty everytime i see her, hee . . she's like a small sister to me. Maybe i'll post a pic of her on my site, but have to seek her approval first . . hee :)

But lately getting worried for her, the questions she are asking me are . . hmm i duno how you put it, but she should know all the question but yet she is asking me . .

Sometimes when i am coaching her, it makes me boil a bit . . but what can i do, she's like a small sister to me, since i am the smallest in the family i dun really have a chance to worry about someone younger than me.And since she calls me "kor" (hokkien for big brother) i can't possibly leave her alone could i.

Issit that bec of the knowledge i have accquired over the years that made me feel she ain't putting effort in her work because i could answer them with ease. Or maybe am i just too hard on her ?? Might need to re-consider a new teaching approach for her. Hmmm . .

still owe her a bdae present, and she wants an ipod, geez i am still stuck with a creative mp3 player and she wants a ipod already . . haizz . . will have to see how . . maybe xmas time get one for her, with heavy subsidise from my sis and parents of coz . . Heehehe =P
think i will post some pics when i transfer the fotos from my camera to my laptop.

ok back to this week . . nothing to do basically, but wednesday kena COS (company orderly sergeant) duties . . meaning no nights out . . haizz . . and seeing everyone go for nites out . . abit sianz siah . . luckily my frens bought me some food stuff and one loan me his vcds so i could watch it . . thanks bracer :)

today, or should i say yesterday since its past 12am already . . ahh .. wat the heck
saturday went for a movie with my camp mates that i have known recently. Today about 9 of us went to catch pirates of the carribean starring johnny depp.

We went to the old cathy building (no not the one at cineleisure but the one behind Plaza Singapura) to catch the show. The show wasn't all too bad but it just seemed to lack some punch in it . . but i am not taking the credits away from this movie, but something seemed to be lacking . . or it could be that its was a bit predictable.

The character design was awesome i tell you, captian davey jones and his crew and the craken and of coz the jokes in the movies was sure to ticke some funny bones.

but still, the movie had some twist that i didnt expected . . for example . . elizabeth(played by keira knightley . . she's hot) had a thing for jack sparrow(johnny depp) ??? So whats gonna happen to william(orlando bloom, i still prefer the legolas look in LOTR) There is gonna be a third episode ??????

some doubts did came by during the movie, how in the world did captain barbosa(geoffry rush and i tot thats the end of his role in this series of movies . . hehe) live again ?? i tot he was killed by the jack ?? and how did jack made the pact with davey jones( the octopus guy . . or is it squid ?? =P) all unexplained . . hmmmm . . oh for those who haven catch it, please do stay in ur sit till the end of the credits, there's still one more joke at the end . . hehehehe (^-^)

Busy As Bees . . Beezzzz . . Beezz

Wow today was a darn Bz day for me . . mainly because its only half day work today, and everything that is to be completed in the day was squeezed and compressed in a meagre few hours . .

had to give instructions to people helping me settle all the stuff . . have to answer some stuff to my bosses . . etc etc etc . . had to run around the camp searching for the correct person to sign my documents before i can sent it out. .

seems like i just ran my AHM training already . . haha

TOday had to sent some documents to other camps, quite an amount also . . .
but majority were from my frens from the other unit that was sharing the despatch bus with me . .
Lucky for me, they allowed me to do my stuff first before theirs and hence i was able to rush back to camp during lunchtime. I owe them big times, kudos to Nicholas and Dom

but they demanded tea from me the next time round . . hee =P



somehow or rather i really wanted to run today's out of camp run . .
even thou i kept complaining that the run was too much for me . . . somehow deep inside i just wanted to participate in this run.

Oh ya, this is actually the AHM training, where we had to do progressive training from 5km, 6km, 7km, 8km and etc. Today we went to west coast park for our run . . man it was tiring as ever but yup came in at 1hr flat for my 10km, thou i was as good as dead when i hit the finishing point.

Wow didn't know i could complete this feat, hee . . a bit proud siah (nose is growing longer . . wahahaha)

but i paid a price, a painful one . . blister on my toes (T-T) .
below is one the conversation i had with my frens . .

me: " i think i am having blisters, damm painful siah"
eugene: " your new shoe not good la"
me: " but i am only having blisters on my right feet leh"
eugene: " then its your leg not good liao lor"
me: " ..................... "

hahaha, duno to feel "cold" a not . . LoLz . .

oh ya, this wednesday nite i was out on the NSmen house visit again, this time round i am not the one that goes up to the houses of the NSmen , but instead i am the navigator of the routes to take, ok it did take me some time to get used to reading the street directory (yes, its the 2000/2001 edition one) but i managed somehow, we went to altogether 5 household that day, wouldn't said i did a good job, but i think i did a fairly decent one . . hahaha, thats what the rest of the pepz told me, thou i did get us lost in some "ulu" estate in Tiong Bahru, maybe this is a sign that i shud get my liscene now ??? Wahaha, i wondered . .

Oh ya, on thursday i took a half day off to collect my transcript, robes, certs and also invitation cards. Guess who i saw? Joanne Peh !!! But i didn't recognised her until some the of girls called out her name and i was like looking "where ?? Where ??" Hee . . but seriously she's nothing like her on TV leh . . maybe she is the photogenic type ba . . LoLz

so good news for anime fans out there,
blood+ is finally up again . .

Settling Down Finally . . i think.

hi folks, finally had the time to do some updating here once again . .

ps: i am updating as i am having my dinner now . . time is precious, hehe
i am having hashbrown, sotong in some spicy sauce and also french beans, yummy :P
home-cooked food is so much better than cookhouse food.

today is nights out night and hence i am able to write something here . . \(^,^)/
but i am booking in tonite also . . (>.<)
ahh . . but what the heck, i have gotten used to it already.

some crazy stuff happend over the week . . namely the world cup finals . .
hurray hurray Italia . . Hurray Hurray Hurray . .
for those that duno, i am a italy fan (^^,)v but i am a more of a liverpool fan as compared to italy.

In my heart, club before country . . thou they both aren't local . . LoLz

Lucky my camp's comd gave us the green light to stay out on sunday to catch the match, otherwise i would be considering of taking a half-day leave for the WC, lucky lucky me :)

oh ya on friday nite, me and the guys had to do a NSman House Recce, namely to inform the NSmen of the up-coming mobilisation. Sigh, back from distruption and i kena this mob . . sianz lor. . for the next few weeks i would be on tender hooks wondering if i would be activated for mob exercise . . ;'(

ok back to the house recce stuff, it started after work (lucky got off to claim) . . we went to only 4 NSmen's house out of the originally planned 10 house . . . plus we were lost in town and the only guide we had was a 2000/2001 street directory ??!! No wonder we were lost, plus driver had no clue where the locations of the places are. We finally called it a day when we figured out "hey its 9.15pm and we are in bugis" . . haha. Well can't blame us, there are 4 person in a mini-bus that dun have the slightest clue how to get to the next destination, hahaha (^^,)

eventually we gave up and asked the driver to drop us off somewhere opp KK hospital and we would flag a cab from there. TO OUR HORROR . . there were tons of cab but all hired ??!!
the theory of "when u need a cab it ain't around, when u dun need a cab, its all over the place"
was successfully proven by daniel, alex and me . . oh those are my 2 new frens from office.
finally reached home around 11.30pm. . dead shagged and headed straight for the showers and drop dead on my dead the instance my body touched it . . Hehehe.

hmm . . might be having a house recce tomorrow night again . . duno whether i am involved anot ??

oh ya, tonight "sauchony" (I think its spelled this way) came to my camp to give a talk on selecting shoes for running, wow never did i know that there was so much considerations to selecting a pair of jogging shoes. . next time u want to buy a shoe can look for me, i'll help u select the almost perfect one . . hehe.

ok so much for updates, gotta go look for my stuff to be pack inside my fieldpack (an army bag, those that u see recruits carrying all the time) , fieldpack inspection next week . . panic time, hehe.

hmm, i am just feeling bored with nothing to do and hence decided to post something here.

Another 2 matches had been played brasil vs france and england vs portugal.

well i guess we all dropped our glasses with the first match didn't we, who would have expect that the mightly brazilian who has been so even in-form since the start of the world cup campaign would have lose to the sudden sparkle in france in the form of thierry henry
(what can i say about him, class . . arsenal is one lucky team to have him)

And just when me and my frens were discussing that form was temporary and class was permanent . . well i guess if ur form comes at the right time at the right place . . even class couldn't rival that moment of brilliance.

well for the next match . . wasn't too much of an interesting match . . guess all the pepz out there is basically toking about how england didn't really perform at all.

hmm .. recently i took fancy of a phone that i saw in hardwarezone's forum on exotic phones and its spec really got me interested here's the pic below.

the specs in this phone is simply astounding, because there's no one model that can easily rival the 903SH in singapore. There's some in the market that's comparable in specs but the designs sucks totally.

And i remember telling a fren of mine that i only want phone that i can call and sms . . but i guess when something like that which stirrs your interest comes along . . all previous opinions are thrown way way at the back of my head . . hee . .

the only down side is that its going for quite a steep price, around 800+ for a brand new phone, but my fren is intending to sell me his for 600. So should i or should i not take up his offer?
my heart tells me to go for it but my head tells me to think about it. Hmm . . so should i ??

Maybe i'll have a poll here once i figure out how to do it on blog plus i find the relevant statistic servers providing it . . hee :)


oh ya, finally i have decided to stay in . . book in timing is before 1130 . . so i have like about 4 hours to stay at home and reminisce the smell of my house and my mum's cooking . . this feeling is just like when i am going to BMT for the 1st time, the sudden feel of sickness in the tummy and all that around you seems so impt . . my comp, my tv, snacks, my bed and stuff . . Sigh

how am i going to past my time there ??? its so sian lor, time is something you cant get back with anithing . . coz going back in time ain't a reality. So i gotta make all my hours, mins and secs count . . duno why i am feeling this all of a sudden, so strange humans are . .

oh btw, i have been wacking CSI non-stop for this 2 days . . bec my dear sis knows her little bro wants to see CSI and she borrowed it from her fren . . thanks alot sis . . what will i do without you . Heehehe. the show is good , pure good suspense, drama and lots of gore . . not that i like it but it makes it so much real . . the organs, the brains . . muahahahaha.
i am going all psychotic here . . LoLz

I remember my fren telling me she dun like gore and stuff and hence she's not that interested in CSI . . well if she sees what i have seen in the CSI's DVD . she might be hiding behind her eyes throughout the whole show . . hehe :P

ok, i gotta go pack my stuff . . and have my last dinner at home, at least for this week

World Cup Fever . .

Finally i am able to catch the world cup, coz since the start of it i have not been following it too closely due to the fact that i did not subscribe to it and also because i work the very next day.

Today finally, with some co-ordination from Richard, i finally had a taste of the world cup fever although its pretty late as in its the quater-finals but nevertheless, its was an enjoyable feeling.

Wow, its astounishing to see people gathering at places where the matches are being screened.
Everyone was simply glued to the set, some even went early to "chop" place for a good view of the game. Coz Macdonald was packed when we went there, which was like 1 hr before the Germany vs Argentina match. The things people would do to catch the world cup. hehe.

its exactly 11pm and the game was off, the game was pretty much boring in the first half until argentina score with a header from ayala. 100% determination which was what richard say when he scored the opener.

thats when the game finally started to open up a bit and both the sides were exchanging attacks.
and finally, Germany did scored to tie the game at 1-1. And we had to go into overtime and also penalty shootout to decide the winner of this quater-final.

Eventually, it was the Germans that won this quater-final and booked themselves in the semis.

but what was really interesting is that we were discussing the tactics the managers were using, the history of each player and how the players should have played their game like we were some sort of soccer gurus . . hee :) truly enjoyable.

soccer matches has to be watched together with frens . . its so much interesting.

ok, time to head for dreamlands :) my eyes can barely open now, hee.
and i was indenting to watch the 3 am match as well . . kinda over-estimated myself.

oh ya, today we had our saf-day re-dedication parade. Singing the nation anthem as well as saying the saf pledge did bring back some memories from yester years.
